KYDEX® 110
Super tough, durable KYDEX® 110, a proprietary alloy sheet, brings new dimensions to thermoformers in: formability, rigidity, breakage resistance, chemical resistance and fire retardancy.

This high performance thermoplastic sheet is availble in silver, copper and bronze. It passes Underwriter’s Laboratories, Inc® Std 94 V-0, 5V (independent lab).

KYDEX® 1900
KYDEX® 1900 is a proprietary thermoplastic sheet with improved heat distortion temperature for higher in-service temperatures.

KYDEX® 1900 meets Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) 25.853 (a) for vertical burn. Maximum recommended service temperature is approximately 76 - 81°C (169 - 178°F) depending on the thermoforming technique and application.

  • available in thicknesses from 1.02mm (0.040”) to 6.35mm (0.250) and in a wide range of distinctive textures and colors
  • meets the requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration paragraph 1ii and a1ii in all thickness for vertical burn
  • heat distortion temperature (HDT) is 76°C (168°F) unannealed and a high 78°C (173°F) after annealing

KYDEX® 200
KYDEX® 200 is a proprietary thermoplastic sheet that is cost competitive with other thermoplastics while providing excellent extensibility, good impact resistance and excellent solvent resistance.

Based on independent laboratory testing it meets the requirements of Underwriter’s Laboratories, Inc® Std 94 V-0 in all thicknesses. It has 534 J/m (10 ft-lbs/in) of Notched Izod impact resistance.

  • available in seven thicknesses from 0.71mm (0.028) and up, in eight distinctive textures and limited colors
  • delivers performance advantages at an effective cost
  • among the most rigid of thermoforming materials, with a high modulus elasticity

KYDEX® 510
KYDEX® 510 is a weatherable sheet with superior performance for thermoforming and a decorative sheet for lamination.

An acrylic cap protects the surface, providing excellent weatherability for outdoor use. This product is now available with decorative caps. While excellent in thermoforming, KYDEX® 510 is also being used as damage resistant surface material.

  • offers same properties of KYDEX®, but in a weatherable formula
  • highly impact resistant as measured by the Notched Izod Impact Resistance test

KYDEX® 6185

KYDEX® 6185 is a proprietary thermoplastic sheet with improved heat distortion temperature (HDT) for higher in-service temperatures while providing excellent extensibility, good impact resistance and excellent solvent resistance.

KYDEX® 6185 meets FAR 25.853 (a) for use in aircraft interior parts. Maximum recommended service temperature is approximately 85 - 90°C (185 - 190°F) depending on thermoforming technique and application.

  • available in thicknesses from 1.00mm (0.040”) and up and in eight distinctive textures and custom colors
  • meets the requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration FAR 25.853 (a) in all thicknesses for vertical burn
  • heat distortion temperature (HDT) is 85°C (185°F) unannealed at 1.8 MPa (264 psi) and a high 90°C (195°F) after annealing
  • excellent forming properties, uniform wall thickness and crisp detail

KYDEX® 6200
KYDEX® 6200 is a proprietary, high performace thermoplastic sheet. It is designed for use in mass transit vehicles such as subways, vans, buses and trains.

KYDEX® 6200 meets both the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) & the Federal Rail Administration (FRA) for smoke emission & flammability as tested under ASTM E-662 & ASTM E-162.

  • available in over 200 developed colors, eight textures and thicknesses from 0.71mm (0.028) and up
  • easy to clean graffiti/spray paint, lipstick, pen, grease and grime with cleaners such as Soft Scrub®, Fantastic®, and citrus-based cleaners such as Cirti Kleen HD® (avoid ammoniated cleaners)
  • resistant to a wide range of concentrated chemicals and solvents, withstands frequent cleaning without staining or fading
  • forms to deep draws with low forces when heated to the upper range of 163 - 200°C (325 - 392°F) and an unusually high resistance to hot tearing

KYDEX® 6565
KYDEX® 6565 is a proprietary, high performance thermoplastic sheet specifically formulated to meet the saftey needs of the aviation industry. KYDEX® 6565 meets all fire retardancy requirements set forth in Federal Aviation Regulations 25.853 paragraphs (a) and (d) (old (c)) including low heat release (65 / 65) in the OSU rate of heat release test.

KYDEX® T
KYDEX® T is a proprietary thermoplastic sheet that is cost competitive with fire retardant ABS/PVC (FR-ABS) formulations but with significantly higher impact strength and extensibility.

KYDEX® T is less hygroscopic, it typically does not require pre-drying, offers superior impact, more uniform forming with less wall thinning and offers significantly greater resistance to a broad range of corrosive chemicals and cleaning solutions.

  • substitute for FR-ABS sheet with competitive pricing but superior cost/performance
  • higher breakage resistance measured by the Notched Izod test than competitive thermoplastics
  • available in eight thicknesses from 0.71mm (0.028) and up, in nine textures, a variety of colors, custom blank sizes and low minimums
  • among the most rigid of thermoforming materials with a modulus of elasticity of 2,482 MPa (360,000 psi)
  • easy to form with excellent part definition and deep-draw characteristics
  • form times similar to FR-ABS making it an easy transition from competitive products.
