Plexiglas® Aerospace Materials

There are two types of Plexiglas that are used in the Aerospace industry for different applications.

Plexiglas® II UVA

Plexiglas® II-UVA cell cast acrylic sheet is produced by Altuglas International to meet the requirements of MIL-PRF-5425E.

Characteristics

A Premium grade, heat-resistant cell-cast acrylic sheet. Sheet is pre-shrunk during manufacturing resulting in <1% internal strain. Can be used alone or as a laminate. Lightweight – Half the weight of glass. Weather resistant. Excellent light transmission and optical clarity. Easily fabricated and thermoformed.

Plexiglas® P55

Plexiglas® P55 cell cast acrylic sheet is manufactured to meet the requirements of MIL-PRF-8184F, Type I and II, Class 1. A Premium grade, cross-linked cell-cast acrylic sheet suitable for stretching for Mil-Spec applications
