Acrylic is a transparent thermoplastic often used in sheet form as a lightweight or shatter-resistant alternative to glass.
When is Acrylic a Substitue for Glass
Clear Acrylic can also be used as a transparent glass substitute where glass would be dangerous. Some of these applications include:
