FAQ’s

What happens if I don’t have drawings or CAD files?

We work with customers that bring in just rough sketches or an idea. Our fabrication team can take your idea and produce a usable design with drawings. There are some technical projects that may require professional drawings from an engineer. We will let you know as we work with you on your project.

What happens if I need to make changes to the prototype?

This happens all the time. We fully understand that until you start actually fabricating a project, you will not know 100% what does and does not work. Your lead fabricator will work closely with you through-out the entire build to ask questions and communicate what obstacles they are encountering.

Do you charge a surcharge for prototypes?

Unlike other companies, we do not mind creating a one-off product, so we do not charge exorbitant set-up fees or a prototype upcharge. The amount you are quoted is the amount you will pay for that prototype. If you decide to produce a second prototype or put the project into production, we will re-evaluate the cost at that time. Costs can change after the initial prototype if we find it took more or less time than estimated and if there are any material changes.
