Common Names: Lexan 9600, Monogal F
Material Pros: High impact resistance, flame-resistance
Popular Applications: Electrical appliances and housings, aircraft components, safety equipment, glazing
Fire-resistant Lexan, like standard polycarbonate, has benefits like high-impact resistance and machinability, while offering increased heat and fire resistance to meet industry flammability codes.
LEXAN™ 9600 sheet (aka LEXAN® 9604) offers improved flammability and heat deflection characteristics over the standard polycarbonate sheet. It meets industry flammability codes, including the standards of UL Bulletin, Class I and FAR25.853A, B. LEXAN™ 9600 is used for power tools, electrical appliances, communications equipment, business machines, safety equipment and aircraft components.
The material can be cut on site and performs well when CNC-machined. Our onsite fabrication departments can cut your material to size as well as fabricate parts and housings.
